The SSVP knows that no one is immune to life’s misfortunes, which can lead to financial instability. Tough breaks – like a job loss or illness – can occur at any time. During such trials, it is good to know that you can get transitory help to get back on your feet and make time for finding long-term solutions to your problems.

WHO CAN GET HELP

Our services are offered to anyone going through trying financial times, regardless of his/her culture, language or faith.

Counselling and referrals
Note that service offering can vary from one help centre to another, depending on their respective financial resources.

HOW TO GET HELP

To get help, a request must be submitted to your local SSVP Help Centre. Enter your postal code at the top of this page to locate the nearest Help centre. You can contact us by phone and leave a message if needed. One of our volunteers will call you back within a 48-hour period. He or she will suggest an appointment date and explain the procedure to get help. You will be asked to provide certain documents in order for us to determine the help we can provide you.
